Description: 2 b&w photographs. The statue stands on granite pedestal and was originally unveiled on 27/10/1913 by the Lieutenant Govenor Sir John Madden. Statue moved c1980 during road widening. Thomas Bent(1838-1909) was a councillor of Brighton/Moorabbin for 45 years, representative of the Legislative assembly for Brighton for 32 years and Vic Premier 1904-1909.
