Description: Picture of High Street in Berwick looking east. The building on the left is the Berwick Inn, also called the Border Hotel. In 1906 the licensee was Mrs Susan Bain, she had taken over after the death of her husband, Robert, in 1887. Robert Bain had built the hotel in 1857. It was extended in 1877 and 1887.
