Description: The Casuarina Forest is part of James Alexander Reserve in Endeavour Hills. According to the City of Casey Environmental Education Kit - the Casuarina Forest is significant as it provides clues to the original vegetation found within the Endeavour Hills area. It is uncommon to find such a large stand of Allocasuarina littoralis (Black Sheoak) in a built up residential area.
