Description: This photograph was discovered in a charity shop in Melbourne, Derbyshire, UK. The purchaser donated it to Melbourne Library Service after establishing that it was in fact produced in Melbourne, Australia, rather than Melbourne, Derbyshire. The young lad on the far right is wearing an Australian military cadet's uniform circa late 1913 (Source: The Queenslander, 02 August 1913). The photo displays a peace, wealth and stability that is soon to be shattered. The photo is produced by The Sears' Studio in Melbourne, Australia. J.A.
