Description: Photograph Baudewig's Rubicon Hotel. 1897. Thornton. Built 1868 by H. Perkins. a brewer who later went to Queensland to start a brewery. The licensee at the time of the photo was Mary Ann Baudewig. a widow with 2 children who had run the hotel since 1878.
