Description: Black and white photograph of the early stages of construction of the walk-up flats in Surrey Road, Hawksburn. The view is east south east from around Browning Walk. The building on the RHS is the back of Hawksburn State School; the ornamental raised pediment supports a lightning conductor, not a church cross as may at first be thought.
