Description: Black and white photograph of Commercial Road, looking west from Chapel Street. Scaffolding on the left is in front of Charles Read's Store, which was completed in 1914 (refer PCC annual report 1913/14 p.24). Signage on the shop on the RHS reads W.L. Davies Pty Ltd - Builders.... Davies is listed at that corner as an ironmonger in the 1910 directory.
