Description: Photo of the opportunity shop on Chapel Street run by Prahran Mission. The Prahran Mission has operated from these premises since being set up by the Methodist Church in 1946. Originally the Mission provided emergency relief, food, housing, shelter, childcare and aged care services to local people in need. Meals-on-wheels was developed here in the 1960s.
