Description: Size: 155 x 250 mm A studio portrait of Tom Mayberry who was born in Belfast in 1908, went to Tasmania with his widowed mother when he was two and came to live in Church Street Abbotsford when he was about three. He looks about two in the photo and is still wearing a dress, as little boys did in those days. His mother is wearing a black high-necked blouse and black skirt and her hair is dressed in the full style popular at the time.
