Description: Size: 82 x 132 mm It would be hard to have missed Nottage's wholesale & retail clothing store given the enormous size of the sign over the veranda which also informed customers that the business was established in 1852 and had 2000 pairs of men's trousers at half price, and 1000 men's fit well suits to select from. The store was at 220-222 Smith Street for many years, not far from the Stanley Street corner. This photo was part of some sort of promotion as it includes the address and phone number at the bottom. On the footpath various people inspect the densely arranged window display, while horse-drawn vehicles stand waiting at the kerb.
