Description: Image held at Richmond Library. A boy and a girl are standing beside the verandah post outside the shop. Bottles and tins appear to be in the shop window behind them. Handwritten notes on the back of the photograph read:'Photo date 1892 approx. Frederick William Martin house painter and decorator No 30 Simpsons Rd, Nth Richmond, Vict (later became Victoria St). In photo - daughter 3 years Ethel Sarah May Martin (became Ethel Richards) - son William Martin. Business currently operating from building in left of photo as F. W. Martin's Hardware (4th generation) 38 Victoria St, Richmond North Victoria 1983'.
