Description: Image held at Richmond Library. A large crowd of people watch the mayoress, Mrs A. F. Fear, in the driver's cabin cut the ribbon held in front of the tram on the corner of Swan St and Punt Rd. Information accompanying the image reads: 'Picture appeared in 'Table Talk' 13/4/1916 p. 22. Captioned: 'Mayoress A. F. Fear cuts ribbon, corner of Punt Road and Swan Street'. Original photo apparently held by: Public Transport Corporation, Photo Resources Group, 301 Flinders Lane (Neg. H.428). Opening of tramline reported in 'Age' 7/4/1916 and 'Richmond Australian' 8/4/1916 p. 2'.
