Description: Image held by Richmond Library. A portrait of the councillor wearing robes, standing beside elaborate furniture. Robert Dickins was a councillor for about six years in the late 1870s and early 1880s, and Mayor of the town for the year 1878-79. (Richmond was created a municipality in 1855, a town in 1872, and a city in 1882.) Original nineteenth century [carte de visite?] in poor condition. Written on the back of the photograph: 'Robert Dickens, 6th Mayor of the town of Richmond 1878 - 9'.
